Robert Doisneau

Maybe the most famous French photographer of all time, he made the legend of Leica by shooting the streets of Paris, and was a pioneer of photojournalism. 

His most legendary shot is "le baiser de l'hotel de ville", in which we can see two lovers kissing (this blogs title image). Funnily, some old couples in France keep suing each other pretending they are the people on the photo.

He is often assimilated to Henri Cartier Bresson.
